This year's SIG Dinner/Social will take place at
T's Bar and Restaurant
5025 N. Clark Street
7:00 p.m.
in
the wonderful Andersonville neighborhood. There are a lot of
shops and friendly establishments all just a few blocks away, and for
those of you inclined, The Eagle, Chicago's premier leather bar, is two
doors down!
I have talked to the management, and we have the
back room to make ourselves comfortable (though they won't close it
completely off to us, we will all be together...and it is a Monday
night). T's website has their menu in PDF format for you to peruse.
In terms of transportation: unfortunately, T's is a good walk from the nearest "el" station. If you look at this map,
the Berwyn station is just east of Broadway on Berwyn. I
count that at about 9 blocks, which is just under a mile.
For those of you who (like me) don't like to walk, cabs are everywhere
in Chicago....it is probably a $15 ride from downtown. Organize
and share!
I will be there for about 45 minutes to an hour to
see everyone and get everything organized and moving, and then I have
to leave. I was tapped to judge a Miss Continental preliminary
pageant at the Baton at 9:00 p.m. and I may need to be there early for
interview. If any are interested in the pageant (Fred Pond, where
are you????) let me know...
