The Aqua Palms & Spa will be our SIG hotel headquarters for MLA, 2009.
We are holding a block for up to 20 rooms from May 13-21, 2009. The
Aqua Palms is located at 1850 Ala Moana Boulevard , Honolulu 96815 ,
direct tel: 808-947-7256 is located within 3 blocks of the Honolulu
Convention Center , where MLA's sessions are being held; and across
the street from the Hilton Hawaiian Village , which is MLA's
convention hotel. The Aqua Palms Hotel, while not a waterfront
property, is very close to the beach, and within walking distance to
restaurants and the Ala Moana Shopping center; and nearby to
attractions in Waikiki Beach

Our special group rate is $149.00 per night for either single/double
accommodations. or $169.00 per night for triple occupancy; $189.00 for
quad occupancy, two persons, (two bedded room), plus tax at this time
is 11. 962%. Maximum capacity is four persons in a room. Rate
includes a continental breakfast.

Please indicate that you are with the Special Interest Group. A major
credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. When making
your reservation, please make sure you obtain and save your
confirmation number; and it is advisable to notate the name of the
person you spoke with, and date and time of reservation.
Our room block will be released April 18, 2009, with rooms and rates
then subject to availability and prevailing rates at that time.
It is also recommended to make your reservations earlier rather than
later, especially if you will be arriving and departing at the pre and
post "peripheral times."
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.; check-out time is Noon.
Reservations will be closely and continually monitored. If we sense
there is added interest, we will try to increase our room block. With
a credit card guarantee, you can always cancel or adjust, and rebook
subject to availability, subject to limitations just before described.
Transportation and Parking: Transportation is available to the hotel
from the airport by taxi and shuttle.
The Official State-Authorized Airport Shuttle is $9.00 one-way and
$15.00 for a round-trip. Reservations can be made by calling (866)

A round trip taxi ride from Honolulu Airport to Waikiki typically costs
$30.00 to $35.00 without traffic
